Do I need to be home for the estimate?
For most jobs we can measure the roofline from outside. If the water is getting inside the house, it helps to have you there to show us where.
What if I am not sure whether to repair or replace?
That is a normal question and it is part of what the visit answers. We look at the runs, the hangers and the fascia, and tell you which one makes sense for your house. Contact us and we will take a look.
How soon should I call if water is getting into the basement?
Right away. Water against a foundation is the expensive kind of damage, and a blocked downspout or a gutter that has pulled away from the house is often the reason it started. The gutter is the cheap part of that problem.
Can you look at the roof while you are here?
Yes. When a gutter is overflowing, the answer is sometimes on the roof rather than in the channel, so we check both. If we find damage up there, we tell you what we see and what it will take to fix it.
What if I only need one small thing done?
Call anyway. A single loose downspout or one leaking corner is a real job to us, and fixing it now is what keeps it from becoming a full replacement later.
